From the Studio:        THE LEMON PARTY, watercolor, image size 10 1/2" x 10 1/2"

Many students think that as a professional artist creates, everything goes well. Here is visual proof that’s not the case.
As a painting progresses it takes on a life of its own. What is happening within the artist’s life attaches itself to that work. Life duties…family, friends, health, church commitments, community commitments….all of these activities effect what goes onto the paper. I’ve had a lot of ‘activity’ these past few weeks.

I have yet to create a painting that I am fully satisfied with, this one especially. Its not what I had in mind in the beginning. What would I do if I ever did create the perfect painting…never try again?

Just wanted to give a small insight into the life of an artist.

Colorfully,
Sandy
