Today I completed a couple of paintings that have been in my work space…waiting to be finished. This is the perfect day to wrap them up.

Both paintings were intended more as studies for larger works, and are of subjects I’ve painted several times before.
It seems that the more I work, the more I see that I have barely scraped the surface of each subject.
I haven’t even begun to capture all that I see and feel there.

We miss so much as we travel through our days on this earth! There’s a line in a favorite hymn that we sing from time to time at church: “Open my eyes Lord, help me to see.”
Seeing is as much about ‘feeling” as it is about what we do with our eyes. Experience life more fully. See with your eyes, your heart, and with your mind.

The paintings above are:   “October Light”       “A Winter Study”

Have a colorful 2019,
Sandy
