FRESH
EGGS, Watercolor, 17” x 15”
You
have seen this vintage toy truck used in many other paintings. He has been one
of my favorite actors among the many objects used in my still life paintings.
Here
, it holds a bird nest which was found in one of my lilac bushes. The builder
of the nest had raised its brood and flown south for the winter.
As
I was preparing an egg dish, it occurred to me that they could make an
interesting contrast in size and color, if placed in the nest.
Colorfully
yours,
Sandy
