Here is another progress image. There is so much detailing to do. My goal is to make the objects I paint, look as real as possible. That means capturing the very tiny and subtle variations of colors and shapes.
The bowl was a gift from my youngest daughter. As she was wrapping it, to ship to Michigan, she dropped and broke it. Sadly she called to tell me what a wonderful gift it would have been......
I encouraged her to send it anyway, and what a delight it has been! This broken bowl has inspired many new painting ideas which would never have come to me if it had not been dropped. Oh, what a happy accident! Oh, what a beautiful gift! Thanks Penny.
